Narratively, it doesn’t have much, and there’s no hint of a story steadily emerging. You are merely entrusted with assisting after some nasty wizards constructed a magic tower nearby and commanded their men to assault your castle! You must act swiftly to save your tower from destruction. However, because this is the Early Access version of the game, further story aspects may be revealed as it is developed. Tower Factory combines tower defense, resource management, automaton mechanisms, and roguelite features. Players are charged with continually improving and expanding their tower-factory utilizing the materials provided. Automatic machines may collect materials like wood and stone, which can subsequently be used to build defensive systems like ballistas and catapults to keep monster hordes out of your base. Get those attack towers out quickly—enemies will come and go throughout the day, but their full army-like force will arrive at night, when they will surge in droves. Are you able to keep your base safe?

The existence of a dense black fog that covers whatever is beneath it adds to the game’s difficulty. Players cannot see the entire area from the start and must create light sources such as Beacons to clear the fog and find more resources, secret treasure chests, and, most crucially, the position of the opposing tower. Seize the opposing base and claim victory! I’d want to start my review by noting that, despite my lack of experience with strategy games, I greatly liked playing Tower Factory. Tower Factory is primarily a tower defense game, with resource management, automation, and roguelite features. As mentioned above, there’s not much in the way of plot at the moment, but it all makes up for it with its engaging gameplay. Is a wicked wizard on the hunt for a magical tower? This is not on my watch! A simple idea, but it’s plenty to get you started.
