How to watch music videos in Apple Music on iPhone & Mac

Apple Music has been a big part of my recent fun. There are so many hot and trending music videos available that I’m always able to find something cool to watch.

Have you watched the music videos on YouTube? You will definitely find them. Create a playlist for quick access to all your favorite videos. The app also allows you to download and share videos. I’ll walk you through each step!

Where can I discover music videos on Apple Music?

Apple Music allows you to watch music videos. However, they are hidden under multiple menus. Apple Music has multiple places to browse music videos:

Method 1: Click on the Browse tab

For iPhone and iPad:

• Launch the Music app and select the Browse tab.
• Click on Music Videos in the More to Explore section.

For Mac:

• Open the Music app, then select Browse in the sidebar. 
• Click on Music Videos to view.

Method 2: Search for music videos

For iPhone and iPad:

• Open the Music App – Navigate the Search tab.
• Scroll down and tap on Music Videos.
  You can move on to the next page if you’re looking for a particular music video.

• Enter the name of the music video in the search field, then hit Search.
  Apple Music is located under the Search bar.
• Tap Music Videos by swiping the menu bar.

For Mac:

• Play Music In the sidebar, select the Search bar. 
• Click Music Videos in the upper right corner of Apple Music.
• Enter the name of the video in the search box.
• Visit the Music Videos Section – click on a video to view it.

Method 3: From the Artist’s page

• Navigate to the Search Tab in the Music app.
• Enter the artist name into the Search bar. Tap on the artist profile.
  You can also click the artist’s name in the music player.
• Tap Music Videos to view all videos by the artist.

For Mac:

• Click on the search bar in the sidebar.
• Enter the artist’s name by selecting Apple Music from the top.
  Click the artist’s name in the music player.
• Click on the Artist profile you are looking for.
• Choose the Music Videos category to see all videos by that artist.

How to add music videos to your library on iPhone, iPad, and Mac

You don’t have to search the Apple Music app to find your favorite videos. Add music videos to your library so you can access them later.

For iPhone and iPad:

• Open the Music App and find a Video Music that you would like to add to your collection.
• Tap and hold on the ​​​​​music video you like – select Add To Library.

For Mac:

• Open the Music App – Move the cursor over the Music Video that you wish to add to your library.
• Click the red three-dot or control-click menu to select Add to Library.

How to play and access music videos in your Apple Music library

There are several ways you can quickly play music videos from your Apple Music library on your iPhone or iPad. Here’s how to access and play the videos on your device.

For iPhone and iPad:

• Open the Music App – Click on the Library tab.
• Tap Music Video to play the latest video.
• Tap Edit – Music Videos and then Done if the Music Videos option does not appear.

For Mac:

• Open the Music App.
• Click on Music Videos in the sidebar. Select and play any video.
• If you don’t see the Music Videos option, click on Library and then Edit.
• Select the Music Videos Option – Click Done.

How to download Music Videos on Apple Music 

You can download music videos from your library to Apple Music for offline use. You can then enjoy them offline or when your cellular data is low.

Note: Before downloading music videos, they must be added to your library. Add the music video to your library if you wish to download it.

For iPhone and iPad:

• Select Music Videos in the Library of Apple Music.
• Click and hold a desired music video → Select “Download.” 

For Mac:

• From the Library, select the Music Videos tab.
• Hover your mouse over the music video that you wish to download.
• Click on the three-dot red menu and select Download.

How to use Apple Music to add music videos to a playlist

Apple Music allows you to organize your music videos in playlists. You can also create a music video playlist without adding the videos to your Apple Music Library.

For iPhone and iPad:

• Open the Music App.
• Tap and hold the music video you want to add to your playlist. Then select Add to Playlist.
• Tap New Playlist or select an existing playlist to create a new one.
• Tap Done to add a thumbnail and title for the playlist.
• Tap Add Music to add music or videos to your playlist.

For Mac:

• Open the Music App – Click on the red 3-dot menu.
• Tap “Add to Playlist” → Click New Playlist or choose from an already-existing playlist. 

How to share music videos on Apple Music

Do you enjoy showing your loved ones your favorite music videos or sharing them with them? If so, Apple Music provides everything you need. You can start a SharePlay session or rapidly share music videos using any app.

For iPhone and iPad:

• Open the Music App.
• Tap and hold the music video that you wish to share. Select Share Video.
• Select a media to share your video.

For Mac:

• Open the Music App.
• Hover your mouse over the Music Video that you would like to share.
• Select Share by clicking the three-dot red menu.
• Select how you would like to share this video.
